failed to merge different label maps using the nightly build version for Mac OS X

Mizutani Tatsushi
Hi Slicers,

I've been trying to merge three different label maps consisting cyst, mass and ventricle areas,
according to the uploaded tutorial for CARS 2012 workshop, titled as Neurosurgical Planning Tutorial ( http://www.na-mic.org/Wiki/index.php/CARS_2012_Workshop_Preparation ).

I have failed to obtain the merged image as shown in the tutorial on over 20 trials, using the nightly build version 4.1.0 for Mac OS X.
After clicking on Merge and Build icon,
a specific panel is shown, saying " Merge volume has been modified more recently than structure volumes. Creating backup copy as BaselineVolume-label-backup".

On the other hand, with the use of the stable version 4.1.0 for Mac OS X , the merged image can be obtained with no trouble.

Sincerely,

Tatsushi Mizutani

Setting the ROIs automatically

Murat Maga
Hi all,

Does slicer have a tool that will set an ROI automatically by detecting the
maximum dimensions of the object within the volume? Analyze has this feature
and I think ImageJ does something similar.

Best,
M

Hi Murat -

No, we don't have a feature like that - is the ROI calculated from a
segmented label map, or from the grayscale volume directly?

Re: Setting the ROIs automatically

In Analyze it uses the grayscale volume directly, which is also what I
prefer.
