slicer crash - linux 64

stan-2
hi all,

I've just updated slicer to the latest version from the svn repository
and I get this error:

Slicer3-real returned with error: child killed: segmentation violation
CHILDKILLED 21344 SIGSEGV {segmentation violation}

My previous version (11591) worked without problems ...

I'm using debian 5.0 64 bits

Does anybody have similar problems?

stan

Hi Stan -

Do you get that message on exit?  The latest linux 64 build I tried
worked fine but did give an error on exit (we're working on that).

Which version are you using?  I tried this one:

Hello Steve,

I get the same error on my recent windows Slicer3-build while launching.

I could open slicer3 by clicking the ignore button.

I'm using version 12345. This is the output of svn info (sorry, it's in
french):

URL : http://svn.slicer.org/Slicer3/trunk
Racine du dépôt : http://svn.slicer.org/Slicer3
UUID du dépôt : 3bd1e089-480b-0410-8dfb-8563597acbee
Révision : 12345
Type de nœud : répertoire
Tâche programmée : normale
Auteur de la dernière modification : pieper
Révision de la dernière modification : 12345
Date de la dernière modification: 2010-03-14 21:56:05 +0100 (dim 14 mar
2010)

The version you tried works fine for me too, but I don't have any error
on exit ...

Re: slicer crash - linux 64

Hi Stan -

Interesting - the current svn (12355) works for me on linux 64.  Maybe
the best thing to try is a clean build (either delete everything from
the Slicer3-build directory and start from scratch or just remove the
lib*.so files if you want to try something a little faster).  The reason
I suggest this is that sometimes old modules that have been deleted or
renamed will still exist in the build directory but they are out of sync
with the newer base system.

If that doesn't work, you can try gdb following and see where the crash
is occurring.

Best,
Steve

Hi Steve,

You were right. It worked after a clean build.
Thanks a lot.
